Ways to Give
Below are just some of the ways in which you can participate in the development efforts at Saint Vincent de Paul. Please call the Office of Development and Stewardship to discuss these or any other ways you might like to be involved. Follow your passion – there’s something for everyone! 303-777-3812 ext. 13.
1. EZ Money
There are so many ways that you can support our school - without really spending any extra money!
GIFT CARD PROGRAM
Attention Shoppers! Scrip Gift Cards are back! This program allows people to purchase scrip (gift cards) for everyday expenses like food, clothing, and entertainment while earning a percentage of each dollar of scrip spent back in revenue. Scrip is "no-selling" fundraising. There are over 500 participating retailers including: Macy's, GAP, Panera Bread, Burger King, Sam's Club, TJ Maxx, and so many more. Go to www.shopwithscrip.com to get started. Create your account. You can sign up for PrestoPay in order to pay online - or you can submit a check to the front office labeled "Scrip". You MUST enter our SVdP Enrollment Code: CA11E6FF19153. Orders are due by the 10th of each month.
CLIP BOX TOPS
We all shop for groceries, sometimes two or three times a week –- or more. Now turn those shopping trip into easy cash for your school, and encourage friends to do the same! Just look for the Box Tops logo on hundreds of products like Cheerios®, Hamburger Helper® and Kleenex®, in almost every aisle of the store. All you need to do is clip and send them into school with your child or drop them off at the school or parish office! Watch here for updates on how the box tops are being used!
Shop at Office Depot? Remember to give them our school code at check out – the school will get 5% of your purchase!
Sign up for a Target Red Card and SVdP will receive 1% of your purchases. SVdP School Code is 4286.
Click here to visit target.com for more information.
Chances are you do your grocery shopping at King Soopers, Safeway, or Sunflower Market. Why not stop into Saint Vincent de Paul and pick up a grocery gift card before your next trip to the store? 100% of the dollar value you spend goes towards your groceries. The stores give back 5% to Saint Vincent de Paul. Last year we earned over $30,000 from this program that provides critical funds for the General Operation of the school. The goal at St. Vincent de Paul is for 100% parent participation in the grocery certificate program but the entire parish community is encouraged to participate.
COLORADO KIDS 1ST LICENSE PLATE PROGRAM
|Colorado has a new Colorado Kids 1st Specialty License Plate, and when you buy one, your entire donation goes directly to Saint Vincent de Paul School! 100% of the funds raised will be used to support our school's programming. 2. Donation to Current Development Priorities
Tuition alone does not cover the cost of educating a child at St. Vincent de Paul, nor does the weekly collection basket fully meet the needs of running and aging yet still growing parish.
Currently we are asking supporters to donate to one of the three (3) following categories (these will be updated as needs change). Contact the Office of Development and Stewardship to discuss any one of these giving options. 303-777-3812 ext. 13 And please remember your company's Matching Gift Program so you can double your impact!
General Operating Account – Church and School: By designating a cash gift to the General Operating Account, you give the church and the school the right to choose where they best see fit to use your donation. These are the most difficult dollars to raise – and by far the most important. Increased heating or supply costs and an aging boiler and electrical system are examples of expenses that could be handled through your kind gift to this account.
Teacher Endowment Fund: A gift to the Teacher Endowment Fund is a gift that keeps on giving. Established in 1992, this fund enables Saint Vincent’s to provide supplemental income to teachers, many of whom have made a substantial financial sacrifice in order to teach in a Catholic environment that inspires our children in the ways of our faith. Annual distributions from this fund are generated from the income earned.
Tuition Assistance Program: Charity was the principal virtue of our patron, Saint Vincent de Paul. In keeping with our name, we are committed to making a Catholic education available to every family. Your kind gift to this fund will pass along the gift of Catholic education to someone who might not otherwise be able to attend our school.
”Remember then, it is the Lord, your God, who gives you the power to acquire wealth…” Deuteronomy 8:18
3. Support of other School and Parish Fundraising Campaigns
Great Expectations Gala: This annual fundraiser raises money for both the church and the school. Last year’s event raised $150,000! This event relies very heavily on donations of time, talent and treasure – and culminates with an evening of great fun, dinner and dancing for all. Great Expectations for 2011 will be held on March 5, 2011 – mark your calendar! Contact the Development Office now to discuss ways that you can be involved.
Pancake Breakfasts: Pancake breakfasts are held on the first Sunday of each month from October through May to benefit the Outreach Program of the Saint Vincent de Paul Society. Come and enjoy pancakes after breakfast or assist in the kitchen! Either way, your participation helps! Contact the Parish Office at 303-744-6119.
Spaghetti Dinners: Spaghetti dinners are held on the 2nd Saturday of each month at 6pm - following 5:00 Mass. The food is outstanding, the company is warm and welcoming, and once again, your money supports our Parish Saint Vincent de Paul Society. Times are tough and people desperately need help from our SVdP Society. Please plan to join us!
“Brothers, never tire of doing what is right” 2Thessalonians 3:13
4.. Commitment to Prayer
The Lord has blessed us with so many gifts and sometimes, in this fast-paced world, we lose site of that fact. Slow down. Saint Vincent de Paul Church has an Adoration Chapel located in the school. Register with the parish to spend one hour each week with Jesus and assist us with our efforts to return to Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration. The personal benefits you are sure to experience cannot sufficiently be described in words. Contact either the Development Office or the Parish Office to register your hour.
“For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.” Romans 11:36
5. Support of School and Parish Outreach Efforts
A thriving community of involved constituents is certain to experience long-term sustainability. There is an opportunity to come to the parish nearly everyday and participate in one of the many activities being offered here – whether through religious education (youth and adult), ministering to those less fortunate, or volunteering at either the church or school. Contact the Office of Development and Stewardship to discuss different options that might work for you while helping us serve the community at large.
“He who has compassion on the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his good deed.” Proverbs 19:17
5. Consistent Weekly Support of the Parish Community
Parish Pay Program: Saint Vincent de Paul Church and School operate under one budget. Your weekly offering in the collection basket, no matter how large or small, directly benefits our school. Never forget your envelope again! Through Parish Pay you can have your weekly church donation automatically withdrawn from the account of your choice or charged to your credit card. This helps the parish tremendously by cutting down on administrative costs and maintaining consistency! Enroll today at www.parishpay.com.
“Tell them to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous, ready to share, thus accumulating as treasure a good foundation for the future, so as to win the life that is true life.” 1Timothy 6:17-19
