School Announcements
- Retirement Announcement: Second grade teacher, Mrs. McPherson, has made the decision to retire from teaching at the end of this school year. She and her husband will be relocating to South Dakota this summer to be closer to their families. The upcoming Spring BBQ may be the last opportunity for her to visit with many of the families and students that she has taught while at SVdP. She would love to visit with everyone and to let you know how important the children who have come through her classroom have been to her. Please look for her at the BBQ. Mrs. McPherson has been a wonderful blessing to our school and will be truly missed.
- Police Officer Returns: A huge thank you to Denise Whittington, SAC Chair for Safety, and to all involved in persevering in this task for the safety of our children, and particularly to our donor. Officer Joe Zamora has accepted this post and will cover crossing to school Masses and will be at Mass, usually outside with visibility on the perimeter and building access doors.
- Silicon STEM Academy Summer Camp: Regis High School will be hosting several Silicon STEM Academy camps this from June 11th – July 11th. Camps will also be held at the Silicon Stem Academy location from June 11th – August 10th with morning, afternoon and all day sessions available. - Summer Solutions Workbooks: If you are interested in ordering workbooks for the summer, the deadline to order books to be shipped to the school is May 13, 2018. Acknowledgements
Thank you to Heather Guy and her wonderful crew of volunteers who made Grandparents Day so joyful and especially welcoming. Our grandparents and special friends enjoyed some refreshments and a brief assembly in the gym, with two 8th graders reciting poetry and the 3rd graders singing a few songs. Grandparents then visited classrooms and attended the school Mass later in the morning. A great success – many grandparents remarked that this has been the best one yet. Thank you, Heather, for giving it that special touch of welcome for all of our guests!
