Gala Information
Hello from the Gala Committee! We are looking forward to seeing you this weekend in your fascinators, bow ties and derby attire! Can’t make it? You can still register for bidding only: https://svdpch.ejoinme.org/svdpgala2019.
We hope that most of you saw the important Gala information that came home this Tuesday. Here’s a quick summary, in case you missed it:
If you purchased a party during the short window that the Parties section was open last week, you will need to log back into the bidding site Saturday morning and re-select your spots for these events. Any party purchases have been cleared and all parties have now been reset and placed back into preview mode. Parties will re-open for purchase on Saturday, May 4th at 8:00 AM and close at 7:00 PM. We apologize for the confusion.
There are a handful of items that didn’t make it into the print catalog. Please check out the Health and Beauty section on the mobile bidding site for some new listings available now.
Remember to buy your live auction raffle tickets this week or at the Spring BBQ on Friday night. You don’t want to miss your opportunity to win a gorgeous 14-carat diamond tennis bracelet. Only 100 tickets will be sold!
CORRECTION – The print edition of the catalog has the date for Piano Man – Billy Joel at Coors Field (Live Auction, #8) as August 28th. The correct date is Thursday, Aug 8th.
Item pickup will take place on Tuesday, May, 7th and Wednesday, May, 8th from 7:15-8:15am or 2:30-4:00pm.
Doors open on Saturday at 5:30! Come with your phones charged (Parties and Triple Crown items open until 7pm!). Get there early so you don’t miss out on complimentary mint juleps and a few other surprises! Please note that parking for the gala at the Cable Center is extremely limited. There is a charge of $8 to park. We are encouraging people to get a ride!
Survey for Strategic Planning
In order to gather as much data as possible to begin our strategic plan, please complete the Catholic Identity Program Effectiveness survey. Your feedback, both positive and constructive, will support the process of improvement at SVDP School for the coming years, and can have direct impact on the children who are currently at the school. Thank you for taking the time to provide clear and specific feedback.
Reimbursement receipts by May 30
To help us to close out our books in a timely way, please submit reimbursable receipts no later than May 30th, and sooner if possible. This is particularly important for anyone who is asking for reimbursement for a gala-related expense. Receipts turned in after June 30th will not be considered for reimbursement.
Last Day of School
The events scheduled for Friday, June 7 originally included Mass (Light of Leadership) and class parties. These activities have been rescheduled for Wednesday, June 5. There are no classes or activities scheduled for Friday. If this presents a hardship to your family, please contact Sr. Dominic directly by calling the school at 303-777-3812.
Training for Summer Help in the Outdoor Lab
During the summer months, we rely on volunteers to maintain the chicken coop and the gardens and greenhouse. (Last year our volunteers saved one of the chicken’s lives!) If you are interested in participating in this volunteer program (perks of collecting fresh eggs and fresh vegetables for your family on the days you volunteer) please call the front office to let us know that you would like to be trained. A Sign Up Genius will be published later in May for families to sign up according to their availability/vacation schedules.
