Reparations Program for Priestly Sexual Abuse of a Minor
Many of you are tracking the process and looking for the release of the information and report of the investigation undertaken by the attorney general’s office into the priestly sexual abuse of minors cases in the State of Colorado. the state is divided into three dioceses: Archdiocese of Denver, Diocese of Pueblo and Diocese of Colorado Springs. This new release of information (much old information and some new) brings up much frustration for all of us, and renewed trauma for those most deeply affected by the abuse. Please pray particularly for the victims of this abuse at the hands of priests who should be our most trusted spiritual guides. I also feel convicted to pray for our very faithful priest who are implicated by what they wear and what they do – many presume guilt by association. It’s messy and frustrating and deeply painful. Following is a publication from the Archdiocese letting the faithful know about the reparations program in place for victims. Please ready this to stay informed.
