2020 Gala in the Garden: *NEW* & *REVISED* Save the Date – May 15th
Spring Raffle is here!
Are you looking for a way to creatively support SVdP school from the comfort of your couch? You’re in luck! The Spring Raffle is here and we have an amazing raffle item for a lucky winner. For just $100, you can be entered to win a gorgeous Chanel purse valued at $3,875! The pictures and full description of the purse are on the Google Form below. Our goal is to sell 100 raffle tickets by May 29th and you can purchase multiple tickets. You don’t have to be a school parent to purchase a raffle ticket, so feel free to send this link to your family, friends and neighbors.
We’ve simplified the process to make this user-friendly in a remote setting and 100% of the ticket proceeds go directly to the school.
Step 1: Complete this Google Form SVdP Spring Raffle sign-up with your information and the number of tickets you want to purchase. Step 2: Either mail a check to SVdP school with “Raffle” in the memo line, or call Amee Cave at 720-306-1313 and provide her with your credit card info via the phone. (St. Vincent de Paul School, 1164 S. Josephine St, Denver, CO 80210)
If you have any questions or need further info, please email Sharon Alton at sharonalton99@gmail.com. Thank you in advance for your generous support of the SVdP school!
eLearning Notes
How can eLearning@svdpk8.com desk support help students/parents. Note the front office will need to forward these kinds of requests to eLearning@svdpk8.com. Their response time is excellent. Email:
- hardware issues
- resetting Google passwords
- accessing a live class session
- help that is tailored to the device you are using
Students should be communicating questions in Zoom calls or using the comment feature in Google Classroom, if the teacher has shown that feature.
Missing work? – Here is how students can check on all work.
- In Google Classroom – click classwork, view my work, and then they get the whole list of all assignments, assigned and not yet due, missing work, and graded and returned work with all the teachers’ feedback.
- Click here for a video on how to follow the steps above to find missing work in Google Classroom.
Just a reminder that when you are viewing grades, make sure you are checking ParentWeb. This is the official grade book for SVDP.

Teacher Appreciation Week- May 4th-May 7th marks the National Teacher Appreciation week. While our SVdP community has shown our appreciation and gratitude throughout the school year through teacher appreciation lunches, the Christmas Fund, Catholic Schools week, and Zoom pop-ups, H&S typically arranges a week’s worth of planned activities for the national celebration. Of course given our stay-at-home order, these plans have changed! We encourage all students, families and classes to participate in something for their teacher the week of May 4th. Stay tuned for details from your Room Parent.
Make Cards for those in need– We continue to get requests for cards, words of encouragement and pictures from our students to share with those in need of a smile. As an example, second grade recently gathered pictures to be passed out to nurses at Rocky Mountain Children’s hospital; An SVdP Dad is volunteering his time to deliver meals to shelters in the area housing those diagnosed with COVID-19, and wanted to include pictures in his deliveries. If you can, please ask your children to make cards, take a picture and post it into our Google Drive. Then Sister can print them and hand out to those that are looking for them!
Spirit Wear Ready for Pickup!- Spirit wear orders should be ready this weekend!! If you placed an order, you will be contacted with regards to pick up procedures.
