Keeping School Open
Click here to hear the interview with Dr. Simoes on Coronavirus and SVDP. We can all work together to help keep us in school.
Electronic Forms
This year we are gathering our required signatures on Back to School Forms in a Google Form format:
Click here to complete the Walker Form – if you would like to give permission for your child to leave the premises without adult-to-adult transition
Click here to complete the School Technology Form – all parents please complete; required for students to use any technology at SVDP
Click here to complete the Parent Student Handbook and COVID19 Return to School Acknowledgement Form – all parents complete. Here is a link to read the handbook: Parent Handbook 2020-2021
Please note, the Parent Student Handbook is undergoing major formatting revision this year and will be published with some changes later in the year. This handbook is almost identical to 2019-2020.
Ordering Lunch and Milk
Lunches will be individually packaged by the caterer, and they can be ordered through a third-party service provided, Boonli
You will need to know your child’s homeroom teacher. Click here if you need information on ordering for the first time.
Meadow Gold will deliver milk again this year. A signup to purchase milk for the year will come out in the next week or two. Until the sign up is complete, your child may take a milk (2% and chocolate) if s/he would like one.
Managing Personal Belongings in a COVID year
Please mark your child’s items (water bottles, clothing, masks, lunch boxes and back packs). Due to Covid restrictions, we are unable to have a lost and found area. We will return a marked item if it has a child’s name on it. Otherwise, it must be discarded. Thank you for helping us by labeling your child’s items.
Back to School Night Plan
SVDP School is modifying the back to school night plan as follows:
Friday, September 4th
On September 4 you will receive a document that houses all the links you will need including:
- one video with remarks from the Pastor, Principal, Home and School Chair, and the new Gala Chair
- each teacher (or grade level) link with remarks specific to your child/ren’s classroom
Wednesday, September 9 6:30-7:30pm
After having a long weekend and a few extra days to watch these videos, each teacher will host a one-hour Zoom call for parents to “drop in” and ask any common questions. You will already have watched the video link on school wide information and specific classroom information. Now you can pop into your children’s homeroom teacher’s zooms to ask a question or listen in. Use the chat feature, or ask live if you have the opportunity. Because this is an open forum and other parents are on the call, private comments need to be reserved for email, or private phone call or zoom call.
School Pictures for 2020-2021 School Year

DINE OUTS (or TAKE OUTS) are coming!
Our goal this year is to have a Dine Out event, whether you choose to eat there or take out, the first Thursday of each month starting on October 1st. We would love to use this as a way to support as many local SVdP family favorite restaurants as possible so we are asking for your help! If you have any ideas for local restaurants, please email Elizabeth Staton at elizabethstaton@msn.com
