Diaper Drive – February 17th and March 31st
Did you know more than 67,000 children in Colorado each year need diapers their family cannot afford, but with COVID the need is much greater. The average baby uses eight to ten diapers a day. Each Lent, the seventh grade runs a diaper drive to support families in need. The sizes that are most in need this year are sizes four, five, and six. Our goal this year is to collect 12,000 diapers between February 17th and March 31st. To donate, simply send your child in with your diaper donation. Collection bins will be located and collected by the 7th grade for part of their service project this year.

Throughout the week, the students of that grade will be encouraged to bring in nonperishable items and/or toiletries to stock the shelves of the pantry located just across the street in the basement of the church. Parents of the grade will receive an email the week before requesting donations. Questions? Please email Lara O’Shaughnessy, lara_osh1@yahoo.com. We are so thankful for your support and participation!

Spring Sports
Spring Sports are upon us and the league will be offering Volleyball and Baseball for varsity players (7/8 grades only). Spring sign ups will be open March 1st and will close March 8th. Like basketball there will be no late signups!
The regular season will start April 12th and will end May 1st. At this time the athletic directors will be creating the schedule so for all club players. The tournament will start the week after the last day of the regular season. The season is to be only 6 games as we only have a 3-week season.
Tryouts:
The school will host tryouts only if the number of interested athletes requires more than one team per age group per sport. There can be up to 12 athletes per team. Please hold 3/11/21 as a tryout date if needed from 3:15-4:45 pm.
Following are the three anticipated levels:
8th grade
7th/8th grade
7th grade
Information about parent attendance in the gym for practices and games is forthcoming from the league.
Coaches – Similar to the basketball season, only parents of athletes on the team will coach, eliminating the need for outsiders in the gym.
