8th Grade Chasity Rally
The chastity rally will now be held on three consecutive Tuesday evenings, April 13, 20, and 27 from 7-8pm. The first two sessions are for students, and the third session is for parents. Please make every effort for your child to attend on the 13th and 20th, as this day has always been a wonderful experience for our teens. I highly encourage you to attend the session on 27th as well. Flyers with topics and the links to register will be sent to you as soon as they are available.
Since the chastity rally will not be during the school day, Tuesday April 13th will be an online learning day for 8th grade, as it is for the rest of the school. I apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause.
Speaker Series- Issues Facing the Modern Parent
In what we hope will be the first of a wide range of topics, please join us on Wednesday, April 14th at 7pm for a talk/discussion on Gender Identity and Ideology. We are fortunate to have with us a SVdP alumna Dr. Susan Selner-Wright PhD. Dr. Selner-Wright holds the Archbishop Chaput Chair in Philosophy at Saint John Vianney Theological Seminary. She is also a member of the leadership team of the Person and Identity Project (PIP).
PIP’s mission is to assist the Catholic Church in promoting the Catholic vision of the human person and responding to the challenges of gender ideology. Gender ideology has permeated the culture with stunning speed, influencing medicine, business, media, entertainment, government and education. Because it is sowing confusion and undermining the Church’s mission of evangelization, the rise of gender ideology has created an urgent need for clarity, education, and compassionate guidance for Catholic families and young people.
This event is for adults only and will be both live and streamed. Space in the gym is limited so if you’d like to attend in person please sign up HERE. Streaming information will be provided closer to the date.
We hope you can join us for this important discussion. Any questions, please contact Caroline Iannucci at carolineiannucci@gmail.com.
