Safety Reminder – Pets on Property
When dropping off and picking up your children, please do not bring your family pets (dogs, cats, bunnies, etc) onto the school property. In addition to an incident of a student getting bit by an otherwise friendly puppy, several children are afraid of dogs and of course we prioritize the children in their dismissal space.

Wheelbarrow Mix Up
Thank you for all the volunteers who came to help last Saturday with the grounds project. We appreciate the beautiful the school grounds. We are missing a wheelbarrow that should have the family’s name on it. Please check the wheelbarrow you took home, and let the school front office know if you have the wrong one.

SVDP Cross Country Update 2021
Practice
We are super excited to start Cross Country practice this coming TUESDAY 8/24/21. Practice will be right after school and finish at 4PM. We will hold practice one day a week on Tuesdays up to the State Meet on Saturday October 23rd.
Kiddos are able to change in the bathrooms prior to practice at the gym. Please remember to bring water and their favorite running gear.
Registration
All runners wishing to participate must sign up on CSAL no later than 8/27/21. 5th Graders are welcome to join our CC practices and run in Meets that allow. 5th Graders will be unable to place or run in advanced races. Waivers are required and must be returned prior to participating in practice.
Volunteers
To make CC happen we need your help as we can not do this without YOU. Volunteers are essential to keep our kiddos safe at practice. We make a conscious effort to be inclusive and open CC to all who wish to run. Having a large group means that the team gets spread out during practice and it is vital to have enough volunteers to keep track of all our kids. Please consider volunteering to provide bike support on Signup Genius…If the roster is full – don’t worry we can always use another volunteer.

Team Snap
We will communicate via Team Snap for practices, meets, and announcements.
Our Head Coach this year is Ken Cilia and our co-coaches will be Katie McCloskey and Carla Lane. We are still looking for a volunteer who can provide administrative support. Cross Country has a unique admin need for registering each runner for all the meets. This is a super important role and perfect opportunity for someone who wants to volunteer but perhaps their schedule keeps them from participating during the day.
Cub Scouts
Inviting boys and girls (and Parents) current grade 1st to 5th Grade to learn more about the Cub Scout Pack 330 (a joint effort between Most Precious Blood and St. Vincent De Paul). Join night on August 30th. The first meeting will be September 13th. Click here for more details.
