Thanksgiving Break Day Camp at DU
Sports camp fun continues all year long with School Days Off! School Days Off provides a similar experience for campers as P.A.S.S. Camp but instead in one-day camps on days when local schools are out of session. Activities include basketball, soccer, rock climbing, ice skating, swimming, lacrosse and more. Specific camp schedules vary by day and are dependent on facility availability and weather conditions. For more information about School Days Off, see this flyer, or contact DU staff at 303-871-3845 or recreation@du.edu.
COVID Update and Reminders
If your child tests positive for COVID either via PCR test, or has symptoms and tests positive with a rapid at-home test, please note the following:
- students are quarantined from school/school activities for 10 days from start of symptoms
- students do not need a negative test to return to school, and may not return prior to the 10 day quarantine
- if the student can be totally isolated (separate bathroom, bedroom, living space) from other siblings, at this time the siblings may continue coming to school. Please note that you can, and usually should, have the siblings tested prior to returning to school, but it won’t be mandated unless we need to add a layer of mitigation.
- if an asymptotic student tests positive with a PCR, the quarantine extends 10 days from the date of the test.

SVdP 80’s Prom
Given heightened levels of COVID cases as well as lower-than-anticipated participation, the Prom Committee has made the difficult decision to permanently cancel this event. As we move deeper into this school year, it will be increasingly difficult to reschedule this party once again without conflicting with the other wonderful events and parties our community is so fortunate to enjoy.
For those of you who already donated funds for this party, we would like to propose two options:
- The money will remain as a donation to the school
- If you would like your money refunded, please make that request to Kerry Hutcheson by email at kjhutcheson@gmail.com

Parish Bible Studies
St. Vincent de Paul is offering a variety of bible studies at the parish this fall. See the attached flyer here for more info on all of them. One that might be of particular interest is hosted by Dr. Ben Akers, a professor of theology at the Augustine Institute, and his wife — children are welcome!
Host Fr. Hilton for Dinner
Our pastor, Fr. Hilton, is making his rounds over the next few months to visit parish and school families’ houses for dinner and a house blessing. Anyone can sign up with the link here. If you’ve wanted an opportunity to get to know our pastor better, this is your chance!
Walking With Purpose Women’s Bible Study
“Discovering Our Dignity!” We are continuing our study of the Bible. This year we are Learning how God worked in the lives of Biblical women:
**Sisters Leah and Rachel overcame jealousy when they learned that God offered all that they really needed.
**Abigail’s faith was so strong she didn’t despair, no matter how unpleasant life was with her husband
**Deborah had been given grace by God to act as His prophet, for the good of her people
Mary the Blessed Mother’s “yes” to God—her fiat—changed everything. How else did her words and deeds influence Jesus, and vice versa? We would LOVe to have you join us Thursday mornings at 9am via zoom OR Thursday Evenings at 7pm in person OR Zoom. Call that Kathy Quintana for information!! 303-358-4944.
