Revised Calendar Dates for 2022-2023 School Year
2022-2023 Calendar Dates rev2.24.22 This new draft will be considered finalized once it is approved by the Archdiocese Office of Catholic Schools. Please note the changes indicated at the bottom of the linked attachment.
Instructional Aides Needed This Year
Parents, we have a few immediate openings in the school for instructional aides from now until the end of the school year. If you are interested, or have a connection to someone looking for part time work (M-F 7:30-1:30), please reach out directly to Sr. Dominic.
SVdP Magnets
We will handing out school magnets during morning carpool on Tuesday, March 1st! Keep an eye out for Sr. Dominic and the 8th grade Student Council members who will be distributing them through the car windows.

Lenten Diaper Drive
The 7th graders are preparing for the annual Lenten Diaper Drive which begins on March 2, 2022. The students will be promoting the diaper drive during car-line at drop-off and pickup during Lent. There will be collection bins near the classrooms and in the front lobby where your children can drop-off their diaper donations. Our goal this year is to collect and donate 22,000 diapers, which will help support all ministries within Catholic Charities with their diaper needs, including Marisol Family, Samaritan House Shelter, Early Childhood Education, and specifically those affected by the Marshall Fire. They are most in need of sizes 4, 5, and 6, but all sizes, including pull-ups, adults, and diaper wipes, will be accepted. Thank you for your continued generosity for those most in need in our community!
Toiletry Drive for Blessing Bags
SVDP Serves is coordinating a Toiletry Drive for Denver Christ in the City*. The drive will run for the month of February. SVDP students will use the donated items to fill blessing bags on our next All School Service Day in April. Please contribute what you are able. All donations are welcome and appreciated. Suggested TRAVEL SIZE donations by grade (but if you have extra of any item, please just donate what you have!). A description of what a blessing bag is will be coming home with your children in February!
PreK/Kinder – chapstick or soft granola bars
1st/2nd – travel size deodorant
3rd/4th – travel size shampoo/conditioner
5th/6th – handwarmers or socks
7th/8th – travel size toothpaste or toothbrushes
Additionally, if you have drawstring bags in surplus at your home, please donate!
*Christ in the City is a Catholic program dedicated both to forming young adults and the greater community to be lifelong missionaries and to knowing, loving and serving the poor. The missionaries walk the same routes and, over time, build friendships with the homeless. In this way, Christ in the City is addressing poverty at its core by showing the homeless that they are seen, known, and loved.

CSAL Girls Volleyball Camps
Saturday, March 5th, CSAL is offering a girls volleyball camp hosted at Bishop Machebeuf High School for students in 5th through 8th grades. The early session begins at 9:00 am and will conclude at 11:15 am. The cost is $45 per person. Advance registration is required. Online registration requires payment to be made at the time of registration. Registration fees are non-refundable. Additional Catholic High Schools throughout the metro area will also be represented. CSAL Indoor Golf League
CSAL is excited to offer its first annual Indoor Golf League this Spring. Beginning Wednesday, March 23rdand each Wednesday through May 11th, students in grades 5-8 will have an opportunity to participate in a golf league. The cost to participate is $500 and the league will be hosted at Golf 365 (8215 S Holly St, Centennial, CO 80122). Baseball Camp
CSAL is offering two baseball camps on Saturday, February 26th, 2022. Two sessions are available to players: Early Session (8:30 am to 10:30 am) and the Late Session (11:00 am to 1:00 pm). The cost to attend is $40 and the camp is limited to 40 players per session. The camp is available to students in grades 4-8. The camp will focus mostly on hitting and may include throwing, defense, pitching, and catching. The camp will be hosted at HitStreak Baseball Academy and will be lead by Coach Matt Darr, Varsity Baseball Coach at Regis High School. To register, go to www.csalden.org. Regis Flag Football League
Regis Jesuit is excited about their 2nd Annual Next Level Flag Football League at Regis Jesuit High School. This league is for K-7 graders. The teams will be coached by Regis Jesuit’s high school athletes. Games are played on Sunday afternoons. The league will start March 6th and run through May 8th. Practice will be one hour before their game, no practices during the week. Teams will have 10 players and we play 5 on 5 flag football. All games will be played in the Regis Jesuit football stadium. Register and play with friends or be placed on a team of your own grade level. See the website for more information and registration. Come out and join us for some faith, football and fun.
DU P.A.S.S. Camp
Pioneer Athletic Super Summer (P.A.S.S.) Camp is a weekly sports and wellness summer camp for campers ages 5–11. It focuses on sportsmanship, teamwork, and the fundamentals of sports. Campers will have the opportunity to experience the NCAA Division I varsity fields, courts and rinks that the Denver Pioneers call home. For more information and registration, check out this link!
Catholic Family Night with the Nuggets
Save the date! Saturday, February 26th at 7pm is Catholic Family Night at the Denver Nuggets. Click HERE to purchase tickets to the game! The night will also feature a number of pre-game court activities including an 8th Grade Game (1:45-2:25pm girls and 2:30-3:10pm boys). Boys and Girls currently playing for a CSAL Basketball team have a chance to participate in playing a basketball game on the Ball Arena court. There will also be a basketball clinic for students in grades 4-8. Go to www.csalden.org to register (select AA Basketball Clinic). Space is limited to the first 50 players registered! To participate in the pre-game court activities, tickets must be purchased by the participant and anyone wishing to watch the activities.
