New Family Handbook
While this New Family Handbook 2022-2023 is especially helpful to our new families coming in next year, it also offers a good review of information and calendar dates for special events for next year. You may wish to bookmark this or make a copy to have on hand at the start of the year.
2022-2023 Parent & Student Handbook
As we continue to stabilize our expectations and procedures after the pandemic school years, there will be minimal changes to the Handbook this year. The expectations for dress code will remain the same. Click 2022-2023 Parent Handbook for the current handbook. You will see updates in the area of Outside Services on pp. 55-56. Please familiarize yourself with this document.

Save the Date – Used Uniform Sale – August 13th
Mark your calendars! The fall used uniform sale will be held Saturday, August 13 from 10:00am-12:00pm in the school lobby. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Kim Abbate at Kim.Abbate@outlook.com.
How does the Used Uniform Sale work?
- Parents can either donate or sell SVdP uniforms two times each year at our fall and spring uniform sale
To Donate:
- Drop off any clean uniforms in good condition at SVdP’s Front Desk marked “Donation” and you’re done! Proceeds from donated items, go back to SVdP School.
To Sell:
- Please pin an envelope or baggie to each item with:
- your last name
- item type
- All shirts & shorts are sold for $5; all pants, plaids and sweatshirts sell for $10.
- The items can be dropped off at the front desk during normal business hours.
- If your items are sold during a sale, you will receive your proceeds. If items don’t sell, SVdP stores the uniforms in bins and you’ve got another chance at the next sale. However, once your children are no longer attending the school, the clothing is considered a donation to SVdP.
If you have questions or want to get involved with the sales? We always need volunteers. Please contact Kim Abbate atKim.Abbate@outlook.com or Lauren Josephson at lologott@gmail.com.
Do you have a preschool student at SVdP? Do you live in Denver? Would you like to help the school? Please read on!
St. Vincent de Paul School participates in the Denver Preschool Program (DPP). Denver residents have supported this program through their taxes for many years. The program not only helps families with tuition awards, it also helps the school with monetary awards during the school year that allow for the purchase of classroom materials, and educational opportunities for the preschool staff. The more students who enroll, the more support is offered to the school. So, if you are eligible, it is a benefit for our Denver families to enroll in the program!
- Every 4 year old preschool student whose family resides in the city and county of Denver is eligible for the DPP award program. Tuition awards are based on financial needs, but any Denver resident family who applies receives something. Any financial information you provide is strictly confidential within the DPP.
- If you do not wish to provide any financial information, but want to assist the school by enrolling your child, you may decline to submit tax information. You will still receive a base award.
- The application process is quick. Please go to dpp.org to learn more and to apply.
3 YEAR OLD PRESCHOOLERS

Edukit School Supplies
Believe it or not it’s time to order your school supplies for next year!! Our school participates in the Edukit school supply program every year and, besides the convenience of having your child’s school supplies waiting for them in their classroom on the first day of school, it’s also a great fundraiser for our school. So, go ahead and make your summer plans and enjoy your time with family and friends knowing that this is one back to school “to do” that you can already cross off your list. No rushing around town from store to store trying to find everything on the supply lists. Edukits are all boxed up and will be waiting on your child’s desk for them — it’s that easy!
Please consider ordering your school supplies through edukitinc.com!
