Volunteer Opportunity Serving the Greater Denver Community- Community Ministries
Let’s face it, we are all busy. And, we all have that nagging conscience that tells us we need to be living out the gospel in a more direct way. The question we all ask is, how can I possibly add another item to my to do list this week? The answer is simple. You have to make time. Make serving the poor a priority by adding it to your calendar and committing an hour each week. There is a local food bank that is in great need of helping hands. They gather day old produce and unsold groceries from the local grocery stores and reorganize it into a mini store where the poor can come and hand select their own groceries for free. It offers those in need the opportunity to feed their families but also offers dignity and empowerment. Please consider volunteering your time to help keep this incredible program going. It is located less than 5 miles from St. Vincent de Paul school (off of Zuni and Evans). To learn more about the food pantry please visit https://comministry-denver.org/. Please contact Sara Sparks sparkssara@icloud.com if you are interested in becoming a volunteer.
