A note from Sister Marie Isaac, OP:
It was beautiful to see our first snow yesterday! It came a little earlier than we expected. With the Fall season also comes the flu season (along with COVID-19 and other respiratory sicknesses). I’m sure you’ve also seen the articles and new stories which warn us that this season is predicted to be a severe one. Here at school, our night cleaning crew and our day crew regularly clean and disinfect our school and high touch areas. Our teachers clean student desks each day and we all encourage proper hygiene practices. Thank you for helping us at home as well, but checking in with your children each morning for sickness. Our policy for children leaving or missing school because of sickness includes:
If a student has been ill with a fever, cold, sore throat, skin rash, skin eruption or other possible contagious condition, he/she should NOT be in school. A child should be free of ailments and/or fever(without medicine) for twenty-four (24) hours before returning to school. This is very important for the health of all.
Have a good weekend.

Coats, Sweatshirts, etc
The weather makes it necessary for our students to wear warm clothing in the morning that they may not need as much during recess. Please be sure to clearly mark your child’s sweater, sweatshirt, jacket, coat, etc with their name – first and last. It would also help if you could train them not to throw their coats, etc on the bushes or on the fence. It is better to tie their sweatshirt around their waist or place it with their lunchbox. We will train them the same way here.
