A note from Sister Marie Isaac, OP:
It’s been a full and busy week! The Christmas Shoppe, The Nutcracker Performance, The Christmas Carol, and an evening Caroling through the Neighborhood have all helped us increase our Christmas spirit while continuing through our regular routine of academics and extra-curricular activities. Yesterday we received an added gift when one of our families had their youngest child baptized at School Mass. Congratulations to James and the Boland family. This was a great reminder of the main reason we are here, to continue to grow into our full potential as sons and daughters of God.
Have a blessed weekend. Know of my prayers for you and your families.

A message from Elias Moo, Superintendent of Schools
Denver has been experiencing an influx of migrants and refugees who are being brought in buses from the southern border. This has led to a humanitarian challenge for the city as they try to find ways to provide shelter and assist them.
Catholic Charities’ Samaritan House has been assisting with taking in refugees, but they are in need of additional help and volunteers. In particular, they are in need of Spanish-speaking volunteers who can help welcome families who are arriving at Samaritan House (Located at 2301 Lawrence Street, Denver, CO) as well as in need of donations of items: hygiene items (soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes), bath towels, clothing, shoes. Items can be directly dropped off at the Samaritan House.
To learn more about volunteer opportunities and to sign-up you can go to: Catholic Charities Archdiocese of Denver (volunteerhub.com). If there is interest in supporting Spanish translation needs, you can reach out to Zach Taudien and Tony Schoenberger at shdvolunteers@ccdenver.org. For anyone that’s interested in volunteering in this capacity and prefers to communicate in Spanish, they can contact Maria Elisa Olivas at molivas@ccdenver.org.

Auction Asks
Does your family have access to anything special – even if you don’t think it’s that special? This could be a family home, sporting event tickets, connections to concert venues, singers, athletes, etc. We are always looking for additional auction items that can be packaged with the current packages building within our classes, or that can stand alone as live or silent auction items. Please feel free to email those ideas or items to 2023svdpgala@gmail.com – no item or idea is too big, too small or too out there!
