A note from Sister Marie Isaac, OP:
It has been a busy two weeks as we returned from Christmas break and look ahead to our re-enrollment season and Catholic Schools Week. At this time, we’re also working on next year’s calendar. Although the specific start and end dates are not yet confirmed, I can share with you the following date ranges. We plan to get more specific dates to you in early February and we don’t anticipate much fluctuation from this year’s schedule.
First Day of school 2023-24 – between August 16-23, 2023
Last Day of School for students 2023-2024 – between May 31 – June 7, 2024

SVdP – Important Dates
- January 14th – 20th – Current Student Re-enrollment and New Sibling Applications (Note the date change from earlier Friday Forecasts)
- January 28th – February 3rd – Catholic Schools Week
- January 31st – SVdP School Open House – 9 AM -1 PM – please share the link with interested families.
Re-enrollment for current students and applications for new siblings of current students will take place in FACTS/SIS. Please review the pre-populated information carefully and make corrections as needed.
• Re-Enrollment: Parents must complete the re-enrollment for their current student(s) by January 20 at 3:00 p.m. to confirm a seat for the 2023-24 school year.
• Applications: Applications for new student siblings must also be completed during the same week to give them priority over students new to the school
• The FACTS enrollment system will be locked during the week following January 20 at 3:00 pm in order to preview student counts prior to the new student Open House on January 31st.

2. Log in
3. Look on the left column for Apply/Enroll; click > to open the dropdown
4. Select Enrollment to re-enroll your current student(s)
5. Select Apply to submit an application for a new student sibling

TUITION ASSISTANCE
If you are interested in applying for tuition assistance, please click HERE for application dates, links and details about the various assistance sources. Income guidelines aren’t available at this time, but we expect to see them in the next 7-10 days. Updated tables will be posted on the website as soon as they are available.
Note on Appointment Scheduling
There has been an increase in appointments scheduled on Thursday morning during Mass time. We have the privilege of weekly Mass for the children and it is part of forming the whole child in our mission. We ask that you prepare your child for this weekly event by having them here at school on time, in uniform and ready to attend the Source and Summit of our faith. Parents are welcome to attend. We hope to see you there!
Catholic Schools Week
We’ll be observing Catholic Schools Week this year beginning January 27th. It’s a great time to celebrate how God is working in our community and appreciate the many hands that make it possible for St. Vincent de Paul School to operate. Here is some initial information to get you ready!
Sunday, January 29th: Family Mass
Please help us have a successful KICK off to Catholic Schools Week by attending Mass with your family. Students have already signed up to serve as greeters, readers and altar servers at the 9:30 am Mass. Volunteers should arrive 15-20 minutes early of mass start time. In advance, we thank you for the gift of your children’s time and their welcoming hearts and voices. Students may earn a dress down pass if they attend Mass in their school uniform. If they attend Mass at another Parish that weekend or a Mass outside of the 9:30 AM Mass, they can earn a dress pass by sending a picture of themselves with the celebrating priest to info@svdpk8.com
Monday, January 30th: Parent Appreciation Day
Represent Parents School/Occupation – Students may dress like a parent to honor them – choose their parent’s favorite college/high school colors or dress up as their occupation
Tuesday, January 31: Clergy and Religious Life Appreciation Day/Open House
School Uniform Day – School Open House Day
Students will experience a presentation from the Mullen Drum Line in the Gym at 1 PM and pray a school wide rosary in thanksgiving for Father Hilton, the clergy who serve at our parish and our Dominican Sisters.
St. Vincent’s Winter Open House is set for January 31. Spread the word and help us welcome our guests with homemade breakfast foods and other goodies! Click here to sign up.
Wednesday, February 1st: Teacher Appreciation Day
School Uniform Day
Home and School will be stocking the Teacher Lounge. Look out for a separate email from Sister on how you and your child can to show your appreciation in a special way this week.
Thursday, February 2nd: Parish Appreciation Day
School Uniform Day – Mass day
Classes will be making thank you cards for our delightful Parish Staff members who support our school every day. Join us for All School Mass!
Home and School will provide Lunch for teachers.
In preparation for Student Appreciation day, this will be a No Homework day!
Friday, February 3rd: Student Appreciation Day – Noon Dismissal
Dress Down Theme: We’ll end our week with a BANG! by holding an All Red & All White & Wacky Spirit Day Dress Down Competition. There will be judging for class participation, most red, most white, most school spirit and wackiest.
Activity: Teachers + Coaches vs. 8th graders Volleyball Games – Gym – time TBD

Register NOW for Summer Camp at Annunciation Heights! Hundreds of youths and families will ascend the Rocky Mountains for weeks of adventure and friendship in a dynamic, faith-filled atmosphere. Athletics News
Spring Sports:
Parents Spring registration begins this Saturday 1/14. Spring sports include Baseball for the boys and Volleyball for the girls.
Volleyball
Tryouts will be held on Monday February 13th
7th and 8th grade girls 3:15-4:45
5th and 6th grade girls 4:45-6:15
Practice will begin the week of 2/20 and games will begin on March 20th. The post season tournament will be held May 8 and championship games will be held on May 13.
Baseball:
There are no tryouts, Coaches will help form teams and the goal is to have each class play with each other and no mixed grade teams. There needs to be a minimum 12 kids and a coach to form a team.
Baseball practice will begin mid march (weather provided) and games will begin the week of 3/20. The post season will begin on May 1 and championship games will be played 5/20.
