Changes to the Play Like a Champion parent meeting. I have a list of parents who attended last year and are not required to take the class again, all other parents who attended previous years must attend a class. We will have one class offering at our school 10/26 at 6:30 pm in the gym, but parents may attend any of the other class offerings around the city. Click here for a spreadsheet for those dates.
Just a reminder – Widget Basketball games are played on Friday evenings and Saturdays only

Gala Volunteers
Thank you to everyone who has signed up to be a gala class rep – gala reps are a pivotal part of the gala’s success! A few of our classes still have opportunities available for 1 volunteer in Saints, Montessori, and 8th Grade. Please email us at svdpgala2024@gmail.com if you are interested in volunteering.
Our next gala planning meeting will be on Friday, October 20th at 8am/after drop off in the school conference room (main building). Gala class reps, ad-hoc committee members and curious parents are encouraged to attend! We’ll share our current plans and brainstorm ideas to make this an amazing event.

Become a Junior Great Books (JGB) leader!
SVdP is looking for a few dedicated and enthusiastic adult volunteers to become JGB leaders! JGB program combines high-quality literature, student-centered discussion, and activities that support reading comprehension, critical thinking, speaking and listening, and writing. Volunteers are expected to join 10 meetings, every other Monday from 7-8pm starting October til March. The role of the parent volunteer is to guide the discussion of the chosen book and encourage students to think for themselves. If you are interested in learning more, please contact Marie Dimelow pommetts@yahoo.fr with any questions.

SVDP Serves
On Wednesday, 9/27, we will celebrate both the feast day of St. Vincent de Paul as well as SVdP Serves Commissioning Day. The morning will begin with all school mass to celebrate the life of our patron saint who dedicated himself to the poor. The students will then return to their classroom where a representative from each agency we serve throughout the year will speak about their mission and how our SVdP students will partner with them.
Our next meeting is Tuesday, October 3rd at 8am in the parish office dining room. All are welcome!
Finally, the 6th grade will run our Fall Coat and Boot Drive. Your mission, should you choose to accept, will be to donate used coats and boots for men, women and children during the dates of 9/25-10/10. Items will be collected at pick up and drop off. Donations will benefit Samaritan House and Denver Rescue Mission.
Any questions, please email- svdpserves@gmail.com
