Host Families Needed for NET Retreat
NET ministries is scheduled to lead a retreat day for our 7th and 8th graders on January 30th. We have found this to be an invaluable retreat for our students for the second half of the year. The NET team is usually made up of 12 volunteer missionaries, so we need about 6 families to host them for the night of January 30th. They must travel and stay overnight at least in pairs. Please email Miss Donahue at edonahue@svdpk8.com, our Student Advocate, if you would consider hosting two or more young adults. You do not need to have a child in 7/8 grade to volunteer; these young men and women are devoting one to two years of their lives, deepening their own Christian lives and traveling to schools and churches to put on retreats for middle and high school aged children. They are a great blessing to our church.
7th Grade Musical Request
Mrs. Smeltz is looking to borrow an automatic bubble blower or two for the 7th grade musical in February. We are also in need of multipule “Christmas projector lights” for the musical. If you can help, please email her at ksmeltz@svdpk8.com.
Meeting Jesus, perhaps for the first time! – Bible Study
As a young teenager, I encountered Jesus by reading one of the New Testament Gospels. My life was dramatically transformed for the better! Would you be interested in reading the Gospel of Luke – one chapter a week – and meeting to discuss what you’ve read? If so, I’m interested in forming a small group of SVDP School parents, who desire to know Jesus better – or to encounter Him for the very first time. No previous reading of the Bible required! We could meet for an hour after you drop off your children or before you pick them up. If you’d like to register your interest or receive more information, please email me at fatherdoug@saintvincents.org.

Home and School – Faith and Family
We are happy to announce that new resources are now available in Option C in an effort to provide support to non-Catholic or non-practicing families who are curious about parts of the Catholic faith. These documents are designed to be informative and welcoming, and help de-mystify some parts of our faith that might be more confusing. They address: The Mass, The Sacraments, The Liturgical Year, and sure to be a favorite, Daily Prayers At SVDP.
