2020 Gala in the Garden: *NEW* Save the Date
That’s right, all, we have a new gala date and it is May 29, 2020. Same place, same time, and more reasons than ever to connect. We are optimistic about our opportunity to celebrate our great community in person, but ask that folks hold off on purchasing tickets until you see a new announcement to do so in mid April.
Spring Raffle is here!
Are you looking for a way to creatively support SVdP school from the comfort of your couch? You’re in luck! The Spring Raffle is here and we have an amazing raffle item for a lucky winner. For just $100, you can be entered to win a gorgeous Chanel purse valued at $3,875! The pictures and full description of the purse are on the Google Form below. Our goal is to sell 100 raffle tickets by May 29th and you can purchase multiple tickets. You don’t have to be a school parent to purchase a raffle ticket, so feel free to send this link to your family, friends and neighbors.
We’ve simplified the process to make this user-friendly in a remote setting and 100% of the ticket proceeds go directly to the school.
Step 1: Complete this Google Form SVdP Spring Raffle sign-up with your information and the number of tickets you want to purchase. Step 2: Either mail a check to SVdP school with “Raffle” in the memo line, or call Amee Cave at 720-306-1313 and provide her with your credit card info via the phone. (St. Vincent de Paul School, 1164 S. Josephine St, Denver, CO 80210)
If you have any questions or need further info, please email Sharon Alton at sharonalton99@gmail.com. Thank you in advance for your generous support of the SVdP school!
eLearning Notes
What does it look like to be ready for a Zoom Call?
1) Attire – child in school uniform (at least school shirt or spirit wear shirt)
2) Location – at a desk or table where the background is not overly distracting (ie not playing with pets, not in bed)
3) Eliminate Distractions – Zoom calls are precious time both academically and socially. It is not a time for snacking or eating which can be done the other hours of the day.
How can eLearning@svdpk8.com desk support help students/parents. Note the front office will need to forward these kinds of requests to eLearning@svdpk8.com. Their response time is excellent. Email:
- hardware issues
- resetting Google passwords
- accessing a live class session
- help that is tailored to the device you are using
Students should be communicating questions in Zoom calls or using the comment feature in Google Classroom, if the teacher has shown that feature.
Missing work? – Here is how students can check on all work.
- In Google Classroom – click classwork, view my work, and then they get the whole list of all assignments, assigned and not yet due, missing work, and graded and returned work with all the teachers’ feedback.
Just a reminder that when you are viewing grades, make sure you are checking ParentWeb. This is the official grade book for SVDP.
Important Tuition Information and Fees Update
Facts Tuition Withdrawals
For the vast majority of our school families, your final tuition withdrawal is made in April (5th or 20th). We are most grateful for your continued support of the teachers and staff during these challenging times. Those families who have withdrawals scheduled beyond May will continue to receive a reminder email from FACTS prior to any withdrawal. You may log on to your FACTS account to view your payment history at factsmgt.com.
Volleyball Fees
We have adjusted FACTS accounts for volleyball:
- If you had not paid your fees, we have reversed the charge to your FACTS tuition account
- If you paid your fees, but have a FACTS tuition withdrawal set for April 20th, your withdrawal amount has been reduced by the amount of your volleyball fees
- If both your volleyball and tuition are paid in full, we are processing a credit that will be applied to your 2020/21 school tuition
- If both your volleyball and tuition are paid in full, and your only student is an 8th grader, a refund check will be sent to you.
Extended Care Tuition for March
We are billing in FACTS for extended care tuition fees for the days your student attended in March. Please authorize a withdrawal when you receive your FACTS email notification. Thank you.
